Harry Meade is one of Britain’s leading event riders and was first introduced to Raviera Pro at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials, where Caviera has been the preferred bedding supplier since 2015. Due to a supply shortage of his previous bedding, Harry’s team trialled several types of bedding and Raviera Pro and Raviera Lavender emerged as the clear favourite.
“I wanted to find the best bedding for our horses and our staff , so we tested many different types of bedding and Raviera Pro came out on top. It is dust free, absorbent and easy to keep clean so the stables are a healthy environment for our horses. It’s easy to muck out and takes less time each day so our staff are delighted with the choice.” Said Harry Meade
“We’re excited to have Harry and his team championing our brand, we’re both family run businesses that focus on quality rather than quantity. We’re sure it’s going to be a fruitful and fun time ahead as we work to develop our brand awareness across the equestrian industry.” Commented Nick Walker, Caviera Bedding Director.
We are thrilled to include Emily King as one our high profile Ambassadors representing our top performing bedding.
International 4*eventer, Emily King first represented Team GB at just 15 years old. Her recent, and well-publicised move from Devon where she shared a yard with her well known mother Mary King, to Cheshire has allowed her to enjoy the Northern circuit.
For the past few years, we have been the bedding sponsor at the Dodson and Horrell Chatsworth International Horse Trials and it was here that Emily had first experience of the bedding. “I’m no stranger to rape straw bedding, but was really taken by the low dust levels and absorbency. Whilst stabling at events isn’t the same as the yard at home, we could really tell the difference. I made a few calls, and heard nothing but good things so was totally bowled over when Caviera agreed to take me on as an Ambassador.” Said Emily
Nick commented “It’s been a great year for us, we’re in the middle of harvesting our rape straw and yields are up from the super dry summer we had last year. Emily is a great addition to our Ambassadors and we value their reputation and recommendations they add to our brand.”
More from Emily’s yard to come very soon.
Eilberg Dressage is synonymous with world class competition horses and no European or World Championships are the same without them. Their yard is almost infamous, being featured in the ‘7 things to be jealous about’ by Horse and Hound magazine and we were only too pleased to provide our Raviera Pro and Raviera with Lavender for a trial earlier this year.
Geri Eilberg was soon contacting us again to confirm that the trial had been very successful and the yard had given us the big thumbs up. The low dust levels, high absorbency which made for a speedier mucking out process all contributed to the successful trial, but Raviera Pro has an additional sterilisation process which removes 99% of bacteria and spores and this provided an extra level of reassurance.
“We’ve tried every bedding over the years, some with better results than others, but we’re really quite excited to have the Raviera Pro and Lavender. We’re both family businesses and were on the same wave length and that should hopefully help toward a long and successful relationship with Caviera.” commented Geri Eilberg
Aoife Clark Eventing (aka Team ACE) came 7th individually at the London Olympics, became the first Irish rider to win Blenheim CCI***, has won Bramham CCI***, 8th at Badminton and won Silver medal at the World Championships for young horses in France, all in the same year.
Aoife and her team welcomed a trial of our Raviera Pro bedding after using it whilst competing at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials. They were looking for a bedding that complimented the hygiene routine of the yard and ensured the highest welfare for the horses with low dust levels. The high absorbency also allowed for less time spent mucking out and freed up valuable time for the everyone on the yard. Samples of Raviera Pro were sent to the Irish Equine Centre to be tested for spores and allergens, and after their seal of approval the Team ACE yard was converted over to the Raviera Pro bedding.
“We are highly vigilant of any new products that our horses come into contact with, the smallest of viruses can greatly effect performance levels, so when we came across Raviera Pro, we were quite excited! The trials and testing has convinced us that its the best bedding for the whole team, and we’re utterly delighted to be Brand Ambassadors for Caviera Bedding” commented Aoife Clark
“Quality is everything for our product range and its where we like to think we excel at. Getting the approval from the Team ACE yard is a great win for us, and we look forward to working with them as one of our Brand Ambassadors.” said Nick Walker owner of Caviera Bedding.

Cara Shardlow is based in North Yorkshire, near the popular seaside town of Whitby. From 3 years in the placings at the Pony Club National Championships to intermediate and CCI* 3 day level British Eventing and for the past 6 years competing 5 times at Small Tour Dressage for Great Britain and overseas and at Intermediate II, Cara’s credentials are impressive.
Cara commented “I’m thrilled to have been given the opportunity to be a Caviera bedding supported rider!I have been using the Raviera bedding and just love it!
It’s so important to me that bedding is high quality, dust extracted, plus something that the horses are not going to eat, Raviera has not disappointed. It’s very easy to muck out, saving time on the yard so very cost effective. It keeps the muck heap small and seems to rot down quickly as well. I can’t recommend Raviera highly enough!”
International young event rider Lizzie Baugh has a growing string of horses ranging from 4 year olds to 4* level international event horses, based at her yard near Newark, Nottinghamshire.
Lizzie represented Great Britain at the Young Rider European eventing championships for two consecutive years, finishing in 9th and 13th place individually. She was a member of the BEF excel talent programme pathway 2017-2019 and has recently begun to make her mark on the senior circuit, with 2019 seeing her win both the Advanced Under 25 class at Belton Horse trials and the CCI3*S at Burnham Market.
These results along with many other top finishes against some of the world’s best including 8th Chatsworth 4*, 3rd Osberton 3* and 4th Houghton 3*, have made 2019 her most successful season yet.
